Genesis
The first book of the Bible and the first book of the Tawrat. It speaks about creation, and it describes the lives of Adam, Noah, Abraham, Isaac, Ishmael, Jacob, Joseph, and others.
Exodus
The second book of the Bible. This is the account of how God rescued his people from slavery in Egypt and delivered them from the hand of Pharaoh. The book gets its name from God (through Moses) « bringing out » his people from Egypt. God then assembles his people and gives them his law, which is a reflection of his character. God’s law is meant to point people to the Messiah.
Leviticus
The third book of the Bible. This book gets its name from the family of Levi, one of the 12 sons of Jacob, whom God chose to serve as priests and to help the people to worship God. One of the jobs of the priests was to offer sacrifices to God, which would allow sinful humans to come near to a holy God.
Numbers
The fourth book of the Bible. This book describes the wanderings of Beni Israel in the desert as they make their way to the promised land. Here we see the rebellion of many people against God and how God reveals his holiness.
Deuteronomy
The fifth book of the Bible and the final book of the Tawrat. In this book Moses gives a second statement of the law (hence the book’s name “second law”) and bids his farewell to the people before they go in to the promised land. God promises to raise up another prophet like Moses to whom all his people will listen.

Wherever they went, people believed and formed churches, that is, groups of people who love each other and worship God through Jesus Christ. Acts is the story of the church, its birth, its growth, its trials, and its lessons for today.
